Liberia's first trusted online marketplace, built from zero to launch. Being first in a market means there is no local pattern to copy and no user expectation to meet, so nearly every product decision had to be argued from first principles rather than borrowed.
The buyer and seller experience is mobile-first because that is how the market actually browses. Listings activate instantly with rich media support, and discovery runs on real-time search, filtering, and location-based browsing. Sellers can bump and promote listings to buy visibility. Verified listings and trust signals sit throughout the interface, which matters more here than in an established marketplace: the platform has to manufacture the confidence that a known brand would otherwise supply.
Negotiation happens in secure in-app chat, end to end between buyer and seller. Keeping the conversation inside the platform is not a convenience feature, it is what makes disputes traceable and trust enforceable.
The operational side is as large as the consumer side. An admin dashboard carries real-time analytics, platform oversight, announcement broadcasting, and push and in-app notifications. A CRM module handles user support and query management. Role-based access control and employee management run with full audit logs, so every administrative action is attributable.
Built on Next.js, Node.js, and MongoDB, delivered through Scrum with daily standups, sprints, and retrospectives, and shipped continuously through a CI/CD pipeline. SEO work and maintenance continued after launch, because a marketplace with no organic discovery is a marketplace that pays for every user twice.
